CHECKBOOK
Since 09/01/2017, Citi’s Checkbooks started to be printed crossed and to be sent to the mailing address of your company.
Learn about the main changes:
- Checks are printed crossed, allowing the use solely for checking account deposit or payment of bills in other banks. Recipients of checks issued by your company must be notified of these changes and the impossibility to withdraw by new checks.
- Customers have service of checkbooks delivery at the mailing address of the company, which brings more convenience and ease to your daily life.
- If you need more checkbooks, they can be requested through the CitiService channel.
- Three delivery attempts will be performed at the registered address. After all the attempts, if the delivery is not successful, the checkbook will be destroyed. Therefore, it is important to keep your company’s mailing address always up-to-date.
- For your security, the checkbook is sent blocked. To unblock it, please contact CitiService Monday to Friday, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., via telephones (11) 2109 2484, in the City of São Paulo, or 0800 709 2484, in other regions.
- As soon as you receive your new checkbook, make sure to invalidate the old checkbooks and check sheets. Checks previously issued and not yet deposited shall be valid only for deposit in an account and no longer for withdrawal.
- Since 09/01/2017, you are no longer able to pick up checkbooks at Citi’s branches. They are delivered exclusively at the registered mailing address of the company. The checks previously requested and not withdrawn at the branches were canceled.
- New checkbooks have to be requested punctually as current checkbooks are used because Citi doesn´t do automatic replacement anymore.
