CASHIER’S MANAGER CHECK
Since 09/01/2017, cashier’s manager checks have a new process of use and new locations for withdrawal in partnership with ABBC - Brazilian Banks Association. In addition, it is to be used only for deposit in a checking account and payment of bills. The service can still be requested via CitiDirect or manual process, according to the current procedures.
Learn about the main changes:
- The cashier’s manager check withdrawal is now carried out only in the offices of São Paulo or Rio de Janeiro and it is available within 2 hours after the request, according to the chosen location.
- Cashier’s manager checks is now issued crossed, allowing exclusive use for deposit in a checking account or payment of bills in other banks.
Learn about the new procedure to request a cashier’s manager check:
- Via CitiDirect, request the issuance by indicating the debit account and the recipient of the cashier’s manager check. Checks requested for locations other than São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro will not be accepted through the electronic channel. Checks requested for locations other than SP and RJ will be rejected by the electronic channel, showing the following message “LA_0011 Invalid BRANCH CODE”.
- Select one of the available locations for the check withdrawal: São Paulo or Rio de Janeiro;
- Send a duly authorized bearer to withdraw the check. Click to access the cashier’s manager check withdrawal authorization template.
- The cashier’s manager check will be available for withdrawal two hours after the request/authorization.
